I enjoyed the alternate course, but since I made it up. I'm a bit bias. Those who played it what do you think? Was it fun or just a big pain in the butt (much like the guy who thought it up). Let me know what you think. The course added some length to the course and I was a bit tired when I finished (no old jokes). Best shot was Alan on hole 4. He hit a 100 foot putt. This was the only three in our group.

Just a note to all. I haven't been making it out or have been very active in the past 2 months or so due to the Shop closing, school, and other things that sadly take precedence to my disc golf. However, give me another 2 weeks, and I'll be out every chance I get, and I'd really like for us as a club to get together and make a big push to do something.............Yeah. You all know what that means. New Course. We need one. Right now the club is sitting on about $1200-1300...

Man I hate weeks like this. Usually, I pretty much suck. Then *BAM* I'll hit a week of playing amazing. Hitting 40 footers like nothing, killer drives, etc. For example: Sunday, I played lakefront. Shot a 59, which is my first time to shoot under 72. On hole 16, I hit basket. Today, I hit basket on hole 1. Later, I shot 4 under at Elon, and that's never happened. Sure, playing better...well, being lucky is more like it...is fun for a while, then it's such a downer to start sucking...

columbia tournament

5 locals went to the tournament at Earlewood and Owens field. Trey, Tim, Graham, Scott and Leo. I think we all won our divisions. It makes for a better story, if you do not check the facts. My best shot was a three hundred foot putt on hole three. To make a 300 foot putt on a 389 foot hole, you first must have a 89 foot drive. My drive was so good it hit the second tree off the tee pad. I then putted with a Surge. It was a beautiful thing to watch. There was no doubt it was going in....

Aye'ed be doin a road trip throuth thar states from NJ tar FL next week. Aye'm arr Skylands DG club member (Warwick, NY) en also was TD in thar last 2 Animalfests! ( Fine tourneys thar ware!)
Brinster stated aye should play Rock Hill, so aye woll.
Aye'll be hopin tar meet fellow DGrs tar show me thar course on 10/29 around 3pm.
Tiz any local sailors gonna be on thar course in thar vicinity? Twood enjoy sharrin a DG round wit yar!

Hey all.greetings from Upstate NY. Damn cold. Anyhow. I played in the USDGC and waswondering if anybody could give Charlie(the older gent that rakes the pond) my E-mail adress. He was looking for a couple of errant throws of mine. I have a Ghost stamped Z-wasp with 2 aces on it along with a Z-Flick bearing the NYS state championship stamp by the basket on hole 5. Also i have a Z-Stalker 10-15' from the basket on hole 6. These discs have Brownguy written on the back. Any help in getting...

Extra discs kicking around?

Do any of you guys have any old, real light discs laying around that you feel like getting rid of? We have started a disc golf club for the kids at the middle school I work at. I have some for them to use but I am going to need to outfit about 20 kids. If any of you guys want to donate to the cause let me know, I'll come grab them from where ever I need to.
Also, any ideas I can use for makeshift disc catchers that are not going to cost us much to assemble?

Sunday shooting like the pros

This Sunday, I played the tournament course ropes and all. I kicked butt. I shot an amazing 80. I only threw two in the lake (both recovered, leave no disc behind). I also threw a few OBS on the rest of the course. Maybe I should compete for the big bucks next year. Did anyone shot better or worse than that. PS Hole 10 hates me (it made me cry).

Halloween bag tag challenge

On Saturday October 31, we will have a bag tag challenge at Boyd Hill. Sign up at 9am, start at 10 am. I will do my best to make the course a little harder. Cost $5 dollars if you have a bag tag. $10 if you have an old bag . $15 if you have no tag at all. Spread the word. PS. has anyone seen or heard from CAM lately....

Just to let everybody know, since the RHDGC is helping sponsor the USDGC, if you have an RHDGC bag tag you just have to tell the people at the front gate you're with the Rock Hill Disc Golf Club, and they'll let you on through. Sorry that this info is last minute; but better late than never right? All the RHDGC pass gets you is VIP parking and free entry; not the special VIP disc that you get at the end of the USDGC. If you want that, you're going to have to pony up for the $25...

Winthrop Lake/Gold new hazards.

Out playing "The Jimmy" this weekend and we realized that Innova had apparently added a new hazard to the Winthrop course. We'd already seen it from afar but realized just how much of a hazard it could be after Ryan's approach on 4.
